The “Healthy BOD” Wellness Committee is a group of employees within the Border Operations Directorate (BOD) Operations Branch who have volunteered to be wellness ambassadors. Their commitment is to work with and on behalf of all employees within the BOD to promote individual health, a healthy and respectful workplace, and foster awareness of mental health. The committee has hosted a series of Lunch and Learn activities that touched on a range of subjects, including the importance of macro and micro nutrients, budgeting and money management, and stress relief.

The sessions were well received by employees and collectively provided an opportunity to have safe, open and respectful dialogue on mental wellness. They also provided employees with access to tools and resources to improve their nutrition, stress levels and overall mental health.
