Updates to personal information

NEXUS members can access the Global Online Enrollment System (GOES) to update address changes, passport and Permanent Resident Card information. Even if you did not apply using GOES, you can still confirm or update your information by creating a GOES account, which enables you to view and modify your file.

You must visit a NEXUS Enrolment Centre at once if one of the following applies:

  • you have other updates to personal information;
  • your primary purpose of travel changes; or
  • changes occur that could affect your NEXUS membership, such as an arrest, a criminal charge, a conviction, or a customs or immigration violation in Canada or the United States.

On occasion, NEXUS will need to contact you regarding program changes. Therefore, please ensure that NEXUS always has your current contact information on file.

NEXUS members should have received their new card

If you are a NEXUS member, you should have received a new NEXUS card with enhanced security features between late fall 2008 and early winter 2009. (This does not affect the current expiry date of your NEXUS membership.)

If you have not received your new card, please contact a NEXUS enrolment centre immediately.

Please note that your old NEXUS membership card is no longer accepted in the NEXUS lane as of May 1, 2009, and will be confiscated if used. Ensure that you carry alternative acceptable identification if you travel between Canada and the United States prior to receiving your new NEXUS card.

To ensure that your NEXUS privileges continue without interruption, it is important that you check if the NEXUS program has your correct mailing address.

Note: Do not request a replacement card using the Global Online Enrollment System (GOES). The new card will be mailed to you free of charge.
