Extension of time
In exceptional circumstances, the CBSA may give clients more time to file a request for review.
If you need to apply for a time extension, please submit your application as soon as possible and within one year after the initial 90-day time limit expires.
In order for an application to be granted, you must be able to clearly demonstrate the following:

Reviews of enforcement actions under the Customs Act
You may apply for a time extension by sending a request in writing that sets out the reasons why the request for a Minister of Public Safety's decision was not made on time. The letter must be sent to the following address:
